Avon Descent
The Avon Descent is a spectacular white water race featuring power boats and paddle craft competing in a two day time trial. Bernard Park comes alive for the Avon River Festival starting from 5 pm Friday July 31. There is fun for all the family with stalls, rides, sideshow alley and spectacular fireworks!
Saturday August 1. Be at Bernard Park from 7.30 am for the start of the largest white water race in the world -The Avon Descent. Powerboats & paddlers take on the challenge of 133 km of the Avon River from Northam to Perth via Toodyay.
Sunday August 2. Catch the action of the Avon Descent and enjoy the International Food Festival on the banks of the Avon River in Toodyay. Cooking demonstrations, food stalls, bar and free entertainment throughout the day with multicultural music and dance.
