Avondale Discovery Farm Avondale Discovery Farm is a working research farm. While at Avondale, you can visit the historic Settlers' Homestead, Machinery Museum, Animal Nursery and Clydesdale Horses.
Take a self-drive tour of Avondale and observe modern farming and land care activities. Pat the animals in the nursery, walk through the land care centre and visit the largest agricultural machinery museum in the southern hemisphere. Entry is free.

Cartreff Park Country Garden
Located on Julimar Road, just out of Toodyay, this beautiful garden includes a native garden, Mediterranean garden, cottage garden and the 'Jeanie Boyd' memorial rose walk. Enjoy the ponds, water features and the spring fed stream. Ph: 9574 2295. Open mid April - late October.

Rivermist Alpacas Join Valerie for an interesting and informative talk about the alpacas. While strolling through the grounds you can see the farm animals, feed the alpaca and view the Australian native parrots. Visit the shop where there are exquisite alpaca products (at bargain prices), hand made teddy bears and local crafts, and fleeces from the alpaca and angora goats for the hand spinner.
